The challenge

The provider managed a large and varied workforce across many sites using HR processes that had diverged over time. Talent and workforce data were fragmented, making it hard to plan staffing or support career development consistently.

Managers lacked ready access to reliable workforce information, and routine HR transactions depended on manual, paper based steps. This slowed everyday activity and reduced confidence in the underlying data.

Leadership wanted to modernize HR and talent on a single platform to improve data accuracy, give managers better insight and provide a modern experience for a diverse workforce.

Technology landscape

Fragmented HR and talent processes across many sites, with inconsistent data and limited self-service.

Manual, paper based transactions that slowed everyday HR activity.

Scheduling, payroll and identity systems that depended on accurate workforce data.

Our approach

We designed standardized HR and talent processes with a common workforce data model, balancing consistency with the genuine needs of different parts of the organization.

We prioritized establishing core HR, employee self-service and reliable workforce data, then layered talent capabilities on that foundation.

We engaged HR and operational leaders across sites so the design fit how the workforce is actually managed, supporting adoption.

Implementation

We implemented Oracle HCM Cloud around the standardized design, configuring self-service and integrating with scheduling, payroll and identity systems so data stayed consistent.

We migrated workforce data after careful profiling and cleansing, with repeated mock loads and business validation to ensure accuracy before go live.

We delivered role based training and provided hypercare after cutover, helping managers and staff adopt the new self-service and reporting capabilities.

Outcomes

  • A common workforce data model improved data accuracy and gave managers more reliable information for staffing and development decisions.
  • Self-service moved routine transactions away from manual, paper based steps, easing the load on HR teams.
  • Standardized talent processes supported more consistent development across a large and varied workforce.
  • A modern experience improved how employees and managers interacted with HR across many sites.
